UFC 108 - RASHAD vs SILVA

I expect to see a great fight with these two light heavyweight fighters .Both Rashad and Thiago lost only once ,to the same man.The undefeated and current light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida .They really wanna fight again with Machida,and both want the opportunity to fight for the belt.Rashad was a champion ,unlike Thiago Silva .For Thiago becoming the champion one day is his dream,and he has got the will to fight against any fighter the UFC puts in front of him to achieve his dream.They're both good at stand up ,they have the knock-out power in their fists,but one is a wrestler and the other is a jiu-jitsu fighter.Thiago Silva destroied Rashad's training partener Keith Jardine .The match with Keith was the first after Silva's loss to "The Dragon" Machida.



Another match I'm looking forward to see is the battle between Junior Dos Santos and Gilbert Yvel .I want to see how good Dos Santos is in this hevyweight division.Is he the future champion Nogueira said or not.Dos Santos defeated Mirko CroCop the last time he fought inside the octogon.Gilbert Yvel makes his UFC debut January 2nd,with the fight against Dos Santos.Gilbert Yvel likes to knock-out his opponents,a lot of them, in his mma career .He said is going for the knock-out,and he said that with a smile on his face.Will see if the smile remains on his face after the bell rings.On the other hand Dos Santos was calm,he said everybody has got a mouth they can say whatever they want... ,we'll see when these two will enter the octogon.


It was not an exciting fight this main event .Rashad used his wrestling skills to win points ...and that's it he won .I did not liked the fight.I like Thiago's attitude in the third round .He wanted to bang with Rashad ,just fight,that's why your there .He beat rashad up in the 3rd round.In my oppinion Silva would have won this fight only if he would woke up in the 2nd round and try harder to knockout Rashad .In the end Rashad was the better fight this night,he was able to follow a good game plan to win this fight .If they will fight again ,I don't think we'll see the same fight.I hope Thiago learned something from this loss and comes out a better fighter the next time he steps inside the octogon .

The fight I liked,and I think many people liked that fight it was the battle between Yvel and Santo s .The heavyweights started to bang.Dos Santos was the strong one ,he won the fight with a TKO .He destroied Yvel .Now that's a good fight to see.I like how Santos fights ,he's got the knockout power ,no doubt about that .

The Ultimate Fighter Finale

Roy Nelson and Brendan Schaub will meet tonight in The Ultimate Fighter Finale .The both fighters qualified from Team Rashad .Roy Nelson defeated James McSweeney in the semi-finals while Brendan Schaub knocked out Marcus Jones . Roy Nelson won his Ultimate Fighter matches ,but they were not all that great.Only the last match impressed Dana White.Bredan Schaub proved his ground game is not bad ,and he has got the knockout power in his fists.

Roy Nelson knocked out Bredan with his powerful right hand.He earned his spot in the UFC .I expected Bredan Schaub to be the better fighter ,but he lost .Roy Nelson was the better fighter that night,now I'm looking forward to see Roy Nelson's next match.





Kimbo Slice will get the opportunity the prove his mma skills in a battle against Houston "The Assasin" Alexander .The both fighters fight at 215 lbs. I hope to see a great fight.Kimbo Slice lost his last fight against Roy Nelson .Some say after a lost you come back stronger ,I'm looking foeward to see if Kimbo learned from his loss to Roy Nelson .Kimbo Slice really wants to win this match,because the only wy to prove everybody,he's not just a street fighter ,he's a good MMA fighter.I hope he will be good prepared for this fight,and I hope his ground game is better than his last fight otherwise Houston Alexander will defeat Kimbo.

The first round was so boring ,they did not really fight.Houston started to run in circle almost the entire round.I realized watching this fight the fact that Kimbo has a better ground game,but his legs are nit that strong.Houston delivered some shots to Kimbo's legs,and kimbo was down once.If Houston would have been faster in that moment when Kimbo was down ,maybe he would have been a winner that night.Kimbo Slice won the fight after 3 rounds .The judges declared him the winner.He was more powerful than his opponent Alexander.Kimbo has got a lot to learn ,but my own oppinion is he should fight at 205 lbs.Why because he would be a huge light heavyweight.I just don't see Kimbo fighting in the Heavyweight division right now.Maybe in the future,who knows ?

UFC 107-PENN vs SANCHEZ

BJ Penn is the current lightweight champion ."The Prodigy" will defend his title December 12th against the challanger Diego"Nightmare"Sanchez.This is BJ Penn's first title defense after he defeated Kenny Florian with a Rear Naked Choke .



Another interesting match for me is the battle between for heavyweight champion Frank Mir and Cheick Kongo .They both lost the last matches they fought .Frank Mir lost to the current Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar ,and Kongo lost his match because he fought against the undeafeated Cain Velasquez .A win in this match for Frank Mir is important because he wants to fight again with Brock Lesnar .
He said:"The long-term goal for me and my own satisfaction is to take off Brock Lesnar's arm.When you go in the gym, you've got a certain goal that you're going for and going for. Not that he was, obviously, my next opponent, but to face him again was the long-term goal , the short-term goals being obviously Cheick and whoever else. Now I've just got to turn it around that the interim would be another short-term goal."



BJ Penn broke Diego Sanches ,in the 5th round ."The Prodigy" rocked Diego in the first round and almost finished the fight.He proved at UFC 107 why he his the lightweight champion.He countered everything,punches,takedown attempts .Diego had no chance to win this one.He's got the heart,the endurence,he's a good fighter ,but BJ Penn was better here.BJ Penn defeated Diego Sanches,he beat Diego the entire match.
And the former heavyweight champion Frank Mir did it.He chocked Kongo in the first round .He rocked hard Kongo in the first round and then finished the fight thanks to his skills.It was a great victory for Frank Mir,he wanted to make a statement and he did.He really want s to fight Brock Lesnar again to see if he is the better mma fighter.

UFC 106 - TITO ORTIZ vs FOREST GRIFFIN

Tito Ortiz will make his return to the UFC this Saturday.He will face Forest Griffin.Forest Griffin lost his last match to Anderson Silva.Now he wants to prove he's a tough fighter in the light heavyweight division,and to destroy Tito Ortiz.The last time they met Griffin lost the match at UFC 59.





Forest Griffin wants to forget about the match with Anderson Silva.He wants to move on,and the first step is to beat Tito Ortiz.I hope to see an interesting fight with these two former light heavyweight champions .

The return of Tito Otriz to the UFC was not that great.Griffin won the fight after 3 rounds .In the last round Griffin throwed a lot of fists and kicks,and Tito could not do anything about that.Griffin landed some good shots in the 3rd round.Tito's best moments were when he put Griffin to the ground and started to throw elbows.Griffin proved his one tough light heavyweight he can survive after a ground and pound ,and manage to have the energy for a 3rd round full of kicks and punches.
UFC 106 was interesting to see,becase Rogerio Nogueira made his fenomenal debut.He knocked out Luiz Cane in the first round .He won Knockout of the Night Honors.His debut in the UFC was great .Now I wonder who will be Little Nog's next opponent and when.

UFC 105 - RANDY COUTURE vs BRANDON VERA

Tonight Randy Couture will fight against Brandon Vera at 205 lbs.Couture drop to 205 lbs. for this fight after losing to Brock Lesnar and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in the heavyweight division.Bradon Vera hopes to defeat The Legend Randy Couture,and get a shot at the UFC light heavyweight title.





Randy Couture defeated Brandon Vera by unanimous decision.This main event was nothing like I expected.I wanted to see a fight and insted I watched a boring main event .The entire match the veteran,tried to take down Brandon Vera,using his wrestling.They clinched the entire match.If Brandon Vera would not have delivered those kicks,the match would have been a lot worse.When the match was over I believed the winner of the fight will be Vera ,but I am not the judge.I really liked Bisping's fight.It was great to watch,such a battle.After he was rocked in the first round,Bisping proved everyone,he's not done,the match is not over,he's got some good defense on the ground.And in the second round,he found out Kang is not that good if he takes him to the ground.And Bisping did exactly that,put Kang to the ground and finished the fight.It was a good victory for Bisping,after his loss to Henderson he really needed this win to prove everybody that the old Bisping is back.

FEDOR EMELIANENKO crushed Rogers

November 7th was a great night in the history of mma.Fedor Emelianenko fought against the undefeated at that time Brett Rogers .It was a nice fight.In the first round Rogers punched Fedor straight in the face with his left hand.With that punch,Rogers broke Fedor's nose causing him to bleed in the first round.After that Fedor started to punch his way through Rogers.Fedor ended on his back in the first round and while Rogers started to throw some punches punch,Emelianenko almost caught him in an armbar.In my opinion if Fedor was in the middle of the ring ,he would have cought Rogers in that armbar,and Rogers would have tapped-out.He could not turn to get the armbar because of the fence.In the second round Fedor watched Rogers legs movement,and when Rogers tried to swing a punch,but Fedor delivered a devastaing right punch to his chin and knocked the huge Brett Rogers of his feet,and finished the fight with a TKO .Fedor Emelianenko remains the best heavyweight in the world .

Strikeforce ppv FEDOR vs ROGERS

This PPV is important,because in the main event FEDOR EMELIANENKO will face the undefeated MMA fighter BRETT ROGERS .Brett Rogers has a 10-0 MMA record,his record makes the fight a must see main event. Fedor Emelianenko is considered by some the best heavyweight in the world and he makes his STRIKEFORCE debut this PPV scheduled SATURDAY ,NOVEMBER 7th .

I think it will be an interestig fight to see.Brett Rogers is one big guy who finishes his fights fast,but Fedor had some fighters who had more pounds then him and still won the fights.This fight is Fedor's first fight inside the cage.He never fought inside a cage ,his fights were always inside a ring.Frank Mir said it's something else inside the cage,because when you get pushed against the cage is bad for you,but in the ring if you get under the ropes the referee stops the fight.

UFC 104-MACHIDA vs. SHOGUN

The undefeated Light Heavyweight Champion LYOTO "The DRAGON" MACHIDA defends his title for the first time against MAURICIO "SHOGUN" RUA .It's going to be an interesting fight to see,because L. MACHIDA is 15-0 .L. MACHIDA said: "To be a true champion you must defend your title " .He really made a name for himself after his win over the undeafeated Rashad Evans.




UFC 104 had a 5 rounds main event fight ,but at the end of the match the controversial decision disappointed a lot of fans .Lyoto Machida won the match.Many people believed they will be a new light heavyweight champion that day.Dana White believed that too.The Dragon was disappointed of his performance.Mauricio Shogun knew he could do more ,but did not want to try harder to win with a knockout,because the guys in his corner believed he'll be the new champion,and they told him he's doing good.Now I think there will be a rematch MACHIDA vs. SHOGUN II .In the press conference after the match ,both fighters agreed to a second fight . Dana said : "This was a very marketable fight. Again, two of the best strikers in the business. I'm ready to make the rematch as fast as we can, and I actually think the second fight will be the fight we expect to see.I don't think guys want to come in here all banged up, bumped out and lose and win the way these guys did tonight. I don't think we'll see the same fight the second time."
